Vendor Contract Workbook

A workbook spread across sheets and names, the way real contract files actually get built: look up a rate, pull a figure from another sheet, then apply a named discount.

Projects are multi-step builds, not single exercises: each one chains several real skills together on one dataset, the way an actual workbook gets built, not graded one isolated formula at a time. Steps unlock in order, so finishing one is what opens the next.

What this project covers

Step 1 of 3: Look up the vendor's day rate

Before this contract can be finalized, pull Blue Ridge Partners' day rate from the vendor table using XLOOKUP.

Step 2 of 3: Pull the days budgeted from the Policy sheet

Blue Ridge's day rate is locked in. The number of days budgeted for this contract lives on a separate Policy sheet, kept there so every contract in the workbook uses the same number. Pull it in and compute the total budget.

Step 3 of 3: Apply the named early-pay discount

Finance offers an early-payment discount, stored in this workbook as the named range EarlyPayDiscount rather than a raw cell. Apply it to get the final amount due.

The dataset, the exact approach, and the answer for each step are part of the unlocked project itself, not shown here.

Projects are part of the full unlock

Projects are locked until you unlock the full site: multi-step builds chaining pivot tables, charts, conditional formatting, lookups, named ranges, and more on one real dataset. Open this one to see how to unlock the rest.
